Imukya Initiatives is partnering with Enabel, through Trias Uganda and the Uganda Small-Scale Industries Association (USSIA), to boost youth employment by empowering young entrepreneurs aged 18–35 in the green economy. The initiative focuses on bamboo cultivation and value addition, equipping young people with practical skills in bamboo crafts, including table mats, lamp shades, wall décor, and bamboo carpentry products such as tables, shelves, and chairs.
In addition, Imukya Initiatives is collaborating with Joint Efforts to Save the Environment to train youth in environmentally sustainable businesses, promote community-led conservation efforts, and enhance water management practices. To date, 21 youth and women are directly benefiting from this program.
